Foundations

Sarahuaro Foundation

Fundación Sarahuaro A.C., a non-profit organization, was created in 2005 with the purpose to raise awareness in children about the importance of helping the poor.

Los Cabos is undergoing an accelerated demographic growth due in large part to the migration of families from mainland Mexico. Many arrive in deplorable conditions, penniless and unemployed, with hopes for a better future that may fail to materialize. While waiting for their situation to improve, families often find temporary housing in shanty towns under subhuman conditions. Such families need help and support, individually as well as economically.

Sarahuaro’s mission is to dignify women and their children to achieve a life change through its community programs.

Solmar Foundation

Solmar Foundation was created in loving memory of Don Luis Bulnes Molleda, a great promoter of Los Cabos. They were inspired by his constant concern to help those in most need within our community. Los Cabos society identifies itself with this great visionary who is remembered as an example of kindness and generosity.

Its mission is to dignify the needy and help them achieve a better quality of life through community-based programs focused on health, nutrition, education and family welfare of the most vulnerable and in extreme poverty in Baja California Sur.
